History: Die in der Zeitschrift Entomofauna erscheinenden Publikationen werden referiert in: The Zoological Record, London. Entomology Abstracts, Bethesda. Referatenzeitschrift der Akademie der Wissenschaften, Moskau.
Contents: Die Zeitschrift "Entomofauna" erscheint seit Januar 1980 mit einem Umfang von ca. 500 Seiten pro Jahr. Sie dient der Veröffentlichung von wissenschaftlichen Arbeiten über Taxonomie, Faunistik, Biologie und Ökologie aus dem Gesamtbereich der Entomologie und Literaturbesprechungen. Die meisten Beiträge sind in deutscher Sprache verfasst, einige in Englisch und nur wenige in anderen Sprachen. Fast jede Arbeit wird als seperates Heft herausgegeben. Die einzelnen Hefte eines Jahrgangs erscheinen in zwangloser Folge mit dem letzten Heft am 31.Dezember. Den Jahrgangsabschluss bildet das Titelheft mit dem Inhaltsverzeichnis und den neu beschriebenen Taxa sowie den taxonomischen Veränderungen. Supplemente werden nach Bedarf herausgegeben. Das Format beträgt 16x22 cm. Redaktionell bearbeitet sowie layoutiert wird die Zeitschrift von München und von Linz unter der Leitung von Fritz Gusenleitner (siehe Impressum). Zu beziehen ist die Zeitschrift über den Herausgeber Maximilian Schwarz (maximilian.schwarz@liwest.at). Der Abonnementpreis beträgt: EURO 32,- pro Jahrgang. Überweisungskosten sind selbst zu tragen. Supplementbände sind im Abonnementpreis nicht enthalten. Mit dem Tod von Thomas Witt 2019, fand die reguläre Herausgabe der Bände ein Ende, der Herausgeber behält sich allerdings vor, zukünftig vereinzelt Publikationen zu veröffentlichen.
